Gold only where the clay is hot.

You stand at a kiln mouth with one slab. Cracks run up the clay. A marigold band is the only place gold will hold. Drag along a crack inside that band and the segment turns gold. Each segment you seal pulls the band upward, so the window you can still use gets higher.

Seal a second branch and the band splits into two thinner strips. A segment outside the bright strip flakes and is lost for that firing. When every main segment of a branch is gold, a glaze chip can dye it. The kiln ticket shows the three dyes this firing is aiming for.

Three kiln cards sit beside the slab. Drag one sideways to flip it, then tap it to play it. The three dots on the face you play are the dyes this firing has to match. The firing ends when the glow leaves the top of the slab. The cooled clay can be hung on the drying pole. Ash from flaked segments can be spent on a taller band or a slower climb for the next firing. The tilt under the ghost cracks leans the next set of breaks to the left, the middle, or the right.

Thickness of the spool changes how fast the band climbs. Hairlines can be shown or hidden. The spool can sit on the left or the right. Progress stays on this iPhone.
